Goodyear names new senior vice president

Toronto, Ontario — January 10, 2019 — Goodyear Tire and Rubber have appointed Gary Vanderlind to the position of senior vice president of Global Human Resources, effective Feb. 1.

Vanderlind, who is the vice president for the company’s Americas region, began his career with Goodyear in 1985, working retail and managing multiple company-owned outlets. His career continued with various Human Resources roles in North America, EMEA and the America’s, as well as corporate and functional roles.

With three decades of proven Goodyear experience in multiple regions and serving many parts of the business, Gary is uniquely positioned to make an impact on attracting and developing our talent around the world,” said Richard J. Kramer, chairman, CEO and president of Goodyear.

Vanderlind will succeed John Lucas, who is retiring, and will report directly to Kramer.
