Edmonton, Alberta — October 4, 2017 — Fix Auto franchise partners from across Alberta came together recently for the network’s second annual Alberta regional meeting at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in downtown Edmonton.

The meeting, hosted by Peter Polito, General Manager for Fix Auto Western Region, served as the venue for a series of informative presentations and collaborative discussions.

“This important yearly event brings together the franchise strategic partners from across the province providing them updates on the business and the opportunity to meet with suppliers, insurance and fleet partners as well as network with their colleagues,” said Polito. “We were also delighted to welcome our newest shops from Sherwood Park, Leduc, St. Paul, Medicine Hat South, Wetaskiwin, Nanton, Edmonton Downtown Express and Claresholm.” Fix Auto has seen tremendous growth over the last year in the Alberta region.

Detailed presentations focusing on sales, operations and marketing took place, with presenters sharing information and updates on the tools and systems available to the Fix Auto network to help them build a “successful and sustainable” business.

Presenters highlighted the current efforts underway to support the shops as well as a look into some of the “exciting plans” to come.

Steve Leal, President and CEO of Fix Auto World, opened the meeting by delivering his vision of growth and innovation. Leal said he “firmly believes” that innovation is the key to success and growth in the automotive aftermarket industry.

“We have to be innovators and lead the way forward in our industry,” commented Leal. “We are here to support our franchise strategic partners’ entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed with comprehensive and advanced management tools, in-depth training, creative marketing, and partnerships with insurance companies and suppliers. Our role is to provide the supports they need to build a successful business.”

The event also included a silent auction, which saw $6,100 raised for Fix Auto’s national charity partner, Ronald Macdonald House Charities (RMHC) of Canada. Items up for auction included two roundtrip tickets to any destination that WestJet flies and an autographed Edmonton Oilers jersey.

“The generosity of the Fix Auto team in Alberta, along with everyone who joined us, is inspiring,” added Leal. “Our spirit of sharing was evident in the support shown for the RMHC but also more broadly throughout the productive and dynamic Alberta regional meeting.”

An evening reception and a vendor expo with approximately 75 attendees joining in from across the region also took place at the meeting.
