Toronto, Ontario — Audi Canada president, Vito Paladino is taking on the role of leading Volkswagen (VW) Group Canada as well.
Paladino, the new president and CEO of VW’s Canadian division, will now be heading all of the branches of the brand’s presence in the country, which includes Volkswagen Canada, Audi Canada, Automobili Lamborghini and Ducati.
In another change in roles for the automaker, Edgar Estrada has also been named president of the Volkswagen brand in Canada. Estrada is a 25-year veteran of VW and most recently, held the same position in Mexico.
These changes are the result of Pierre Boutin’s departure (the president and CEO of VW Group Canada from 2020).
Boutin is leaving his current position to move to the OEM’s European operations.
“This is a very exciting time for the Volkswagen Group in Canada,“ said Pablo Di Si, CEO, Volkswagen Brand North American Region, in a press release. “I welcome both Vito and Edgar to their new roles and am confident they will help lead the group during a time of significant change within the industry.
“I’d also like to thank Pierre for his great achievements, and wish him well in his new role,” he said.
