London, Ontario — August 27, 2015 — It was a fabulous evening of family, friends, food, fun and fast cars.

Don-Mor CARSTAR Collision and Automotive of London, Ontario, recently sponsored a 75-lap ISMA Super Modified race at Delaware Speedway. The main event Friday took place in front of a packed house. The event was part of the Harvey Lennox Memorial night. Over 230 insurance brokers, agents, appraisers and other industry professionals took in fast-paced action.

The ISMA series usually races south of the border, but Don Morton stepped in to bring the series to Ontario.

“These are 800 horsepower monsters,” says Don Morton, founder and President of Don-Mor CARSTAR Collision. “The weather was beautiful, the food was delicious and the racing was the icing on the cake. The evening was Don-Mor Carstar perfection.”

The Don-Mor team set up a tent at turn four. “The view was spectacular and I would have to say they were the best seats in the house. It was a great mix of CARSTAR employees, insurance brokers, agents and industry people alike. It was a great summer time barbeque. Beautiful weather, family fun. Lots of fast speed action,” says Morton.

Morton founded Don-Mor in 1980. Today, he also owns a local CARSTAR Express (a retail location that does estimates). The main Don-Mor shop moved to its current location in 1996 on Brydges Street in London. As luck would have it, the London Collision Reporting Center opened up across the street in 1998. Mroton expanded the current location in 2006 to include a mechanical shop.

Today, the Don-Mor Carstar Collision and Automotive Facility features a 18, 000 sq. ft. repair shop and 5,000 sq. ft. mechanical facility on a one acre secured compound.

Dave Shullick Jr. of North Ridgeville, Ohio won the race. He came from a fourth place start. Shullick is the ISMA points leader. His strong performance ensures that lead is intact. The win at Delaware is Shullick’s third win of the 2015 season.

“I really like this place now. It’s a lot of fun to race. Thanks to all the fans also for coming out. I love racing in front of you Canadians. We come up here a couple times a year and you guys come out for us. So I appreciate it,” Shullick was quoted as saying. “The championship is not over by a long stretch. There are three races left – Oswego, Star and Thompson. The car is running good and we just have to keep it going.”
