Certification Station: Certified Collision Care to manage Honda and Acura ProFirst program in Canada

Markham, Ontario —  As of Oct. 31, Honda Canada has selected Certified Collision Care, the Canadian division of Assured Performance Network, as its exclusive strategic partner to administer and manage the Honda and Acura ProFirst collision repair facility program.

The Certified Collision Care program will identify, certify, and promote dealership and independent facilities as collision repair providers of choice to Honda and Acura drivers across Canada. Program participants are selected based on the accessibility of essential tools, shop processes, equipment and training. The program aims to ensure that Honda and Acura vehicle owners have the option of repairing their vehicles at a facility that, certifiably, meets Honda and Acura requirements.

While existing ProFirst collision repair centres will join the Certified Collision Care program to maintain certification, facilities wishing to participate in the program for the first time will require a dealer sponsorship.

Existing Certified Collision Care providers that acquire Honda or Acura sponsorship will not face additional fees in adding ProFirst recognition to their Certified Collision Care credentials; however, additional certification requirements will be required. Certified shops will also receive special Honda and Acura ProFirst signage, as well as listing on the consumer-facing online shop locators as part of the integrated program.

Further details will be available online once the program launches in December.

“We are looking forward to working with Certified Collison Care to expand our existing collision repair facility program, ensuring that Honda and Acura drivers across Canada are able to select a ProFirst collision repair facility in their community,” said Dave Jamieson, vice president of parts and service at Honda Canada.

Honda Canada was founded in 1969 and is the parent company for both Honda and Acura vehicle brands in Canada. The company has produced more than eight million cars and light trucks since 1986 at its two manufacturing facilities and builds engines at a third manufacturing plant in Alliston, Ontario.

Certified Collision Care is the Canadian division of Assured Performance Network, the largest network of OEM Certified repair providers in the world with over 3,000 collision care providers participating. It also administers the Canadian OEM certification programs for Fiat Chrysler, Ford, Kia, Nissan, Toyota, Lexus, Infiniti, Honda and Acura.
