Hamilton, Ontario — August 25, 2014 – Members of CARSTAR’s senior leadership team have accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and they have nominated CARSTAR franchises and the entire collision industry to do the same.

The network’s senior leadership team gathered in front of CARSTAR Vision Park in Hamilton, Ont., at 4 p.m. on August 25 to take up the challenge.

Michael Macaluso, COO of CARSTAR Automotive Canada, started off the video by noting that they were nominating every single CARSTAR location across North America to take up the challenge and make a $100 donation to ALS Canada, as well as a donation to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, CARSTAR’s charity of choice.

Enough participating stores could raise a fair amount of money in a short time, but then Macaluso revealed the second part of the team’s nomination

“Our challenge is to all the other MSOs, networks, and banners across Canada, to have their CEOs, COOs, or Presidents, to do the same challenge within the collision repair industry, and have their stores raise $100 for ALS, and their charity of choice.”
