Toronto, Ontario — December 12, 2018 — CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South have surpassed $25,000 in donations towards the Red Deer Christmas Bureau and the Red Deer Food bank.
The two CARSTAR locations have been donating to the bureau and food bank since 2004 and are no strangers to giving back to the community having consecutively raised the most money during Shine Month, CARSTAR’s trademark fundraising month for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The two franchises have also hosted their own local Walk for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
“The only reason we can be in the position to make donations like this or to Cystic Fibrosis Canada is because of all the hard work our employees put in every day, at both locations,” says Darryl Hemstreet, co-owner of CARSTAR Red Deer. “Supporting causes like the Red Deer Christmas Bureau and the Red Deer Food Bank are important to us because it helps us spread the joy during this cheery season and ensures it’s a happy holiday for everyone in the Red Deer community.”
The Red Deer Christmas Bureau is working diligently this season to ensure that every child in the community receives a toy on Christmas morning and that all those in need are able to enjoy a hearty meal. The Red Deer Food Bank, which was established in 1984, provides emergency food requirements for Red Deer and surrounding area residents in need.
CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Red Deer South made their annual donation this year on November 30, contributing $2,500.
