The SmartSafe P03 combines EV battery testing, full-system vehicle diagnostics and electrical measurement functions in a single platform. The system can access battery data including state of charge, state of health, cell and module voltages, temperatures and fault information, while its diagnostic functions provide fault-code reading, live data and guided troubleshooting information. Built-in instruments include an oscilloscope, multimeter, insulation tester and current clamp. The P03 supports multiple battery-pack connection methods and can also perform testing of systems such as DC-DC converters and on-board chargers. SmartSafe states that the system covers more than 95 per cent of EV models, with ongoing software updates.
