In 2024, Simplicity has expanded its efforts to be an environmental leader in the automotive aftermarket sector by collecting data in order to track its Scope 3 carbon emissions.

Toronto, Ontario — Simplicity Car Care has now released its 2024 annual report, highlighting the businesses goals and growth for the rest of the year. 

Simplicity has expanded its efforts to be an environmental leader in the automotive aftermarket sector by collecting data in order to track its Scope 3 carbon emissions. 

In October, the franchise was included on the Globe and Mail's list of Canada’s top growing companies. In its citation, it was praised for its innovative approach to customer service, operational efficiency as well as its commitment to empowering franchisees.

The network also saw a surge of franchisees decide to open secondary and tertiary locations. This pushed its growth and allowed Simplicity to open its 100th location — a milestone to mark its transformation from an unknown, insurgent brand to industry pillar over the past eight years. Since its inception, it has served a record-breaking 172,000 customers. 

In a letter to stakeholders included in Simplicity’s 2024 annual report, CEO Paul Prochilo also celebrated the franchise’s efforts to centralize business processes and help implement technological and logistical improvements across the network.

“One of our key achievements this year has been our investment in technology and centralization. By enhancing our digital infrastructure and streamlining our operational processes, we have improved efficiency, reduced costs and provided our franchisees with the tools they need to succeed,” he writes. “These advancements have strengthened our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality service while adapting to the evolving needs of the industry.”

According to the annual report, these improvements allow work done at Simplicity locations to be conducted 22 percent faster than at an average facility. 

Prochilo went on to say the banner would be working to implement even more improvements across its network this year. “As we move into 2025, Simplicity Car Care remains steadfast in our mission to simplify the auto repair experience for our clients, partners and franchisees.”

Prochilo went on to lay out the broad strokes of the six-point strategy Simplicity is pursuing this year.

First, the franchise aims to expand its national footprint. “Our expansion will be strategic, ensuring that every new location upholds the same high standards of service, efficiency and customer care that define Simplicity Car Care.”

Second, it will adopt new technologies, like AI-driven diagnostics and enhanced customer portals, as well as other operational efficiencies to improve accuracy, reduce cycle times, and create a seamless repair experience. “Expect innovations that optimize workflow, increase transparency and empower customers with real-time updates.”

Third, Simplicity will seek to elevate its client advocacy and customer experience building efforts through personalized service, streamlined claims processing and enhanced training programs for employees.

Fourth, it will seek to strengthen its partnership with insurers and fleet operators to help ensure a frictionless repair process that benefits all stakeholders. “Our data-driven insights and commitment to service excellence will position us as the preferred repair network for industry partners.”

Fifth, it aims to advance its environmental, social and governance agenda, which includes commitments related to diversity, equity and inclusion as well as to sustainability and responsible business practices. “In the coming year, we will take further steps to reduce our environmental impact, enhance waste management practices and integrate more eco-friendly solutions into our repair processes.”

Sixth, Simplicity will focus on developing its relationship with franchisees. The  franchise will accomplish this by providing more operational support and advanced training to its network facilities.
