Barney Loehnis – Chief Marketing Officer, Humanetics Group

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The HUMANETICS GROUP, best known for its automotive crash testing products, announced today that Barney Loehnis has joined the Humanetics Group executive team as Chief Marketing Officer reporting to Christopher O’Connor, President and CEO.

Barney has 25 years of experience leading marketing and digital transformations for global organizations. He has expertise in building brands, strategic communications and social media; and has built capabilities in multiple organizations to drive commercial success in ecommerce, digital product development and customer experience design.

Born and raised in the UK, Barney began his career in ecommerce competing against Amazon. In 1999, he joined a mobile startup developing location-based services for cities across Europe, before he was recruited to Warner Bros where he led their digital division in Europe launching films like Harry Potter. He moved to Asia with Denstu Isobar and led Ogilvy & Mather’s digital group in China where he developed marketing and digital platforms for clients like IBM, Qualcomm, VW and Huawei.

Barney came to the US in 2014 as Chief Digital Officer of Mercer Consulting. He then formed humami.io, a consulting company working with C suite executives to develop strategic growth programs that transform businesses from the inside out. This led to a series of projects with Humanetics including the recent rebranding and website launch.

Barney commented: “I am thrilled to join such a dynamic and exciting company. The Humanetics Group delivers incredible solutions to the world’s greatest engineering groups. It’s mission to protect humans – through its iconic crash test dummies and software simulation – is as compelling as the potential of the Group’s complementary technologies in sensors, fiber optics and lasers to fuel innovation in fast growth sectors.”

The position of Chief Marketing Officer is a newly formed position within the Humanetics Group. His role will be to drive greater focus, coordination, and consistency across all go-to-market touchpoints across the customer journey. He will lead key strategic marketing programs and initiatives that support the customer experience.

Chris O’Connor, President and CEO, commented: “We are pleased to welcome Barney to the Humanetics family. Barney brings a wealth of marketing leadership experience and has a proven track record for driving transformation and growth. In his role as CMO of the Humanetics Group, Barney will continue to strengthen our communication with all our stakeholders, most importantly our customers and employees. Our businesses are market leaders and our people are experts in their respective fields. We are excited about having Barney on board to help spread that message.”
