AkzoNobel Sustainability Leadership Symposium slated for SEMA

Las Vegas, Nevada — November 3, 2014 — The SEMA Show will host the fourth annual AkzoNobel Sustainability Leadership Symposium on Nov. 3, marking the second year the cross-industry dialogue is offered at the Las Vegas, Nevada venue.

Running from 1 to 5 p.m. in rooms N231 and N233 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the free educational event is open to all attendees, and focuses on opportunities the subject holds for collision repairers as well as moving the global initiative forward within the North American industry.

Dr. Manish Mehta, Director of Strategic Projects & Sustainability at the National Center for Manufacturing Science, and Michael Shesterkin, President and Founder of What’s Next? have been named moderators of the discussion.

A keynote presentation, delivered by Dr. John Sutherland, the Fehsenfeld Family Head of Environmental and Ecological Engineering at Purdue University, is also scheduled.

Guest panelists, including past AkzoNobel 2014 FIT Sustainability Leadership Honorees, trade publication editors, industry stakeholders, and guest moderators/speakers will be present for roundtable discussions touching on issues related to remanufacturing, cross-industry collaboration, and Blue Ocean opportunities within collison repair.

Several businesses, publications and associations across the U.S. and Canada have endorsed the symposium’s vision for the cross-industry advancement of sustainable business practices in all sectors.
