AI-Powered Production: CSN Elite releases collision repair ‘documentary’, written by ChatGPT and narrated by speech synthesizer

North Vancouver, British Columbia  – We ran a recent survey asking readers if they understood the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the bodyshop. The results indicated that most have a fairly limited understanding of how AI and collision centres work together.

But Connor Jameson, operations manager at Vancouver’s CSN Elite and Elite Express, just gets it.

Inspired by his discovery of a vast library of AI-powered narrators, Jameson created the Planet Earth-inspired short film, which he says took him about 2.5 hours to complete. The script was written by ChatGPT, and subsequently voiced by a text-to-speech AI narrator.

Opening with an absolutely real and not at all fake accreditation to the BBC, the video follows a synthetic British voice narrating the repair process of a dented vehicle, from reshaping to sanding and repainting while triumphant brass instruments play in the background.

According to the description written by CSN Elite Bodyshop & Elite Xpress, the film has been nominated by the social media team for what may be CSN’s first independent marketing award. They are now eagerly waiting for their first Sundance and Cannes film festival nominations.
