Toronto, Ontario — At the last AIA Canada board meeting, Jason Yurchak joined the AIA Executive Committee as the second vice-chair. The Executive Committee also includes Susan Hitchon, chairman; Bob Jaworski, first vice-chair; and Jason Best, immediate past chair.
Prior to his new role Yurchak served as a director at large on AIA Canada’s Board of Directors. He currently is the senior vice president at WORLDPAC, a company that imports and distributes original equipment distributor and aftermarket replacement automotive parts for the independent service professional.
AIA Canada’s Board of Directors oversees the management of the association’s activities and affairs, while focusing on the areas that are important to members as a means of ensuring that AIA continues to best serve its membership, says the association. According to AIA’s by-laws, the board is responsible for the review and assessment of resources, financial management, strategic planning and governance to ensure the appropriate management and diligence of the operations of the association.
