Valspar introduces new Air Cure Clearcoats

Minneapolis, Minnesota — July 15, 2014 — Valspar Automotive has announced the addition of Air Cure Clearcoat technology into the Valspar Refinish product line.

‘‘Valspar Automotive utilizes cutting edge research and technology to bring to market products which are finely tailored to the specific needs of body shops focused on speed and the bottom line,’’ said Peter Willman, General Manager, Valspar Automotive, North America.

The company says its new AD4200 Air Cure Clearcoat and our AD4221 Air Cure Clearcoat Low VOC were created with a keen focus on speed and quality. Profitability is of paramount importance to collision repair facilities today, and Valspar says these clearcoats were devised with shop cost savings in mind.

These clearcoats utilize a wet-on-wet application, requiring no flash time between coats and offer a dry time of as little as 30 minutes, depending upon conditions. A statement from Valspar says that with clean shop conditions, this product lays out to such a fine finish, nib sanding and buffing are usually not necessary.
