Symach heads to Atlantic Canada with the construction of CARSTAR Fredericton North

By Wanja Mann

Fredericton, New Brunswick — September 12, 2018 — Construction has officially begun on CARSTAR Fredericton North, with oversight and planning of the facility performed by the Italian company Symach.

While the green field site may not look like much now, general manager Steve Knox says the site is already the source of great curiousity from colleagues in the collision repair industry.

“This will be the first Symach facility east of Quebec,” Knox says. “When it is completed, it will be the most technologically advanced facility in Atlantic Canada. The new facility is designed to handle ten vehicles a day.”

While considering working with Symach on the new facility, Knox had visited two already up-and-running collision repair centres using Symach’s FixLine process in Ontario.

“Symach’s system is so well-planned out. When I saw it in action, I was surprised to see how  process-driven the businesses were,” Knox recalls. “Every team member made it very clear that the processes was working out even more effectively than they had expected.”

CARSTAR Fredericton North is expected to up-and-running in March 2019.
