Prosser, Washington — January 23, 2017 — The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) led a number of sessions at the 2016 SEMA Show that focused on emerging trends in vehicle technology. SCRS has recently released the first of two videos that captured the discussion on Restoring Vehicle Functionality through Electronic Technology and Diagnostics.

This first segment features representatives from a number of OEMS, discussing how advancements in technology to meet consumer expectations for safety, convenience and luxury options have impacted the repair process, in particular in relation to the diagnosis of accident and repair related failures in the systems.

Moderator John Ellis of Ellis & Associates leads the panelists through a candid and unscripted discussion of the responsibilities expected of the collision repair providers.

SCRS has announced the second video in the series will feature diagnostic equipment and service providers discussing the different tools available to repairers, along with the unique challenges and advantages associated with each.

You can check out the first video in the player below.
