Dolores Richardson nominated for RBC entrepreneurial award

Montreal, Quebec — November 4, 2015 — At Pac Auto Body Parts President Dolores Richardson has been named a finalist for the 2015 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for the Profit Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship.

An initiative of Women of Influence, an organization dedicated to advancing Canadian women, the national business awards are designed to recognize the country’s leading female entrepreneurs. The Profit Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship is dedicated to a female entrepreneur who has launched and built one or more successful companies with a track record of growth, profitability, industry leadership and breaking new ground. Richardson is among the regional finalists recognized in this category, representing the East region.

“I was excited to learn of my nomination by Nabil Eweida from RBC. I am extremely honoured to be selected as a finalist for this prestigious award,” Richardson says. “My father had the vision of what replacement parts could do for the auto repair industry. Our growth is due to long hours and hard work by our team of family members and dedicated employees. I am very proud of my team and their continued support.”

Out of 5,500 nominees, 18 finalists from coast to coast have been selected to represent the six award categories. All nominees were required to submit through applications, which are reviewed and judged by a panel of prominent business leaders and subject to a due diligence by Deloitte Private Client Services.

“Dolores Richardson is an excellent candidate for this award. Being a woman in a male dominated industry was an obstacle that she overcame. She was always compelled to prove her worth as a woman in the industry and this pushed her to work harder in allowing the company to flourish,” the company said in a statement.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 23rd Annual Awards Gala hosted by Diane Francis, editor at large for the Financial Post, and celebrity host, Cheryl Hickey from ET Canada, on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Fairmount Royal York in Toronto, Ontario.
