Hamilton, Ontario — December 10, 2015 — After decades of supporting local community initiatives, CARSTAR Canada is excited to unveil its most recent donation, a fully branded Chrysler Town and Country, to WindReach Farm. The donation was made at a kick-off event on December 8, 2015.
CARSTAR Canada along with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, have contributed to the lease, insurance, maintenance and gas for this vehicle for a period of five months while WindReach Farm launches its newest nature and farming related program, Beyond the Farm Gate.
“WindReach Farm is an organization very close to my heart,” says CARSTAR Canada Operations Specialist Chis Bullock. “This donation is not just a van but a vehicle to provide educational and therapeutic experiences to individuals in our community.”
WindReach Farm strives to enrich the lives of persons of all ages with disabilities and/or special needs by providing opportunities to enjoy experiences in farming, nature, outdoor recreation & other activities and to share those experiences with family and friends. Located in the Durham Region, the beautiful 105-acre farm hosts a variety of educational, therapeutic and recreational services.
The Beyond the Farm Gate program will allow the organization to increase its impact during the winter months by bringing therapeutic animals and nature based activities to a variety of locations in the community including local seniors’ residences, long-term care facilities, schools, hospitals, clubs and organizations.
