3M’s Performance Pneumatic Applicator (09930) is now available in Canada as an air-powered tool for dispensing two-part adhesives and sealers from 200 mL and 400 mL dual cartridges.
The applicator connects to standard shop air and uses compressed air, not hand pressure, to drive material through the cartridge. In a collision environment, that is relevant for longer adhesive beads during panel bonding, structural sectioning and seam sealing, where manual guns can require sustained force with higher-viscosity materials.
It is designed to work with 3M two-component products, including structural adhesives, seam sealers and plastic repair materials. A snap-in cartridge system allows quick changeover, and an adjustable airflow control lets technicians regulate material output based on viscosity and desired bead size.
Two-part bonding and sealing materials are now common in OEM repair procedures, particularly for high-strength steel and aluminum structures. While the static mixing nozzle controls ratio, the applicator influences how steadily and evenly material is laid down. According to 3M, the pneumatic drive is intended to improve dispensing consistency and reduce hand fatigue in higher-volume use.
For shops already using 3M cartridge systems, the pneumatic version offers a more consistent alternative to manual applicators for structural and sealing work.
