Direct Dispatch: Solera launches update for Qapter

Solera

Solera has launched Qapter Direct Dispatch, a new feature for its Qapter collision estimating platform that allows insurers, third-party administrators and appraisal companies to send estimate assignments directly to repair facilities and independent appraisers.

Assignments can be sent to recipients with an email address, regardless of their estimating platform, software provider or network affiliation.

“By extending the reach of Qapter beyond traditional network boundaries, we’re accelerating claims decisions, expanding access to estimating, and helping insurers deliver a faster, more seamless experience for policyholders."

Recipients receive temporary access to Qapter through a secure authentication process and can complete and return estimates through the platform.

Qapter Direct Dispatch includes AI-assisted damage estimating, automated vehicle equipment identification, estimating workflows, 3D vehicle graphics and digital collaboration tools.

Solera said the system is intended to allow insurers to assign work outside their existing direct repair programs while continuing to apply their own repair and workflow requirements.

“Insurers should no longer have to choose between maintaining managed repair outcomes and achieving nationwide repair flexibility,” said Tim Sixta, senior vice-president of product management at Solera.

Qapter is Solera | Audatex’s global claims management platform and is used by insurers, repairers and appraisers in more than 100 countries.

Alberto Cairo, chief financial officer and managing director at Solera, said Direct Dispatch extends Qapter beyond traditional repair-network boundaries.
