Technicians charged with refinish repairs on low-gloss finishes know that not all matte finishes are the same. The solution is PPG’s ENVIROBASE® High Performance 2.1 Low VOC Matte (EC5515) and Semi-Gloss (EC5517) Clearcoat system designed to reproduce a range of gloss levels over Envirobase High Performance basecoat. Mixing formulas are available in five gloss levels: Flat, Matte, Eggshell, Satin and Semi-Gloss. “Since these two clears can be used alone or mixed together, paint technicians can precisely match any low-gloss OEM finish, or create their own for custom work,” explains Nicole Sinclair, PPG brand manager, collision, automotive refinish.
