Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes has introduced Collision Core Pronto XL, a fully automated paint dispensing solution designed for commercial vehicle paint operations.
The new dispenser is integrated with Collision Core Color and can mix up to five gallons, delivering high-volume output while allowing paint technicians to focus on productivity, according to the company.
Pronto XL is designed to help commercial vehicle refinish shops reduce waste and improve colour precision. The automated system uses a single dispense head and 20 ingredients and can dispense into quarts, gallons and pails. The system can also dispense paint with accuracy down to 0.01 grams.
“Fleet refinishing shops need automated paint dispensers primarily to reduce significant material waste and drastically increase shop productivity,” said Dan Szczepanik, global marketing director, automotive division at Sherwin-Williams. “By automating the mixing process, shops can handle a higher volume of jobs with fewer mistakes and lower labor costs.”
The unit is capable of completing a mix in approximately five minutes, which is 50 per cent faster than traditional methods. The automation also allows technicians to focus on higher-value tasks, such as vehicle preparation and painting, while the machine handles mixing and cleaning.
Pronto XL features a compact design requiring four feet by four feet of floor space and is fully integrated with Collision Core color retrieval technology and its spectrophotometer.
The dispenser is part of the company’s Collision Core suite of collision repair software solutions, which also includes Collision Core Color, Collision Core Diagnostics and Collision Core Inventory.
