Toronto, Ontario -- Pennsylvania-based paint company PPG is introducing the VELOCITY refinish system, a new line of solvent-borne products designed specifically for collision repair facilities.
The system aims to meet the needs of independent bodyshops looking to balance performance with value in their paint operations.
"The PPG Velocity refinish system helps independent body shops work faster and more efficiently," said Brian Osterried, PPG collision product manager for automotive refinish. "It's built for busy shops that need to deliver reliable results at a great value, helping them grow their business."
The system includes more than 70 toners featuring pearls, aluminiums and xirallics –- known for their high-impact crystal-effect pigments, five versatile clearcoats, including the PPG ONEVISIT clearcoat application for faster booth cycle times, as well as a range of undercoats.
The system combines durable performance and easy application to meet the demands of high-volume repair environments. It also aims to provide seamless colour-matching through a process supported range of primers, clearcoats, hardeners, solvents and accessory products.
The ONEVISIT clearcoat feature allows shops to complete repairs with faster booth cycle times, potentially increasing daily throughput for busy facilities.
