Boyd expands in Oregon, announces $1.4 billion in sales for 2016

Winnipeg, Manitoba — March 22, 2017 — The Winnipeg-based Boyd Group has announced another expansion, this time opening two collision repair centres in Oregon. The centres are located in McMinnville and Newberg, located southwest of Portland. They previously operated as True Form Collision Repair with the McMinnville location opening in 1998 and the Newberg location in 2003. The newly-acquired facilities will be rebranded as Gerber Collision & Glass locations.

“Both of these locations are in busy high traffic areas, complement our seven other centres located in the Portland area and will allow us to serve new customers and our insurance partners southwest of the city,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group. “We look forward to becoming part of the community and are pleased that Nick Gardner and Dan Gardner will continue to manage these centers. Their teams are committed to providing the same professional and friendly service that is the signature of all Gerber locations.”

News of the new locations was quickly followed by the release of the company’s 2016 results. Among the highlights, the company saw sales increase by 18.1 percent to $1.4 billion from $1.2 billion in 2015. Significantly, this includes not just growth from acquisition, but same-store sales increases of 5.3 percent.
