Virtual NORTHEAST Tradeshow live Friday through this weekend

Toronto, Ontario —  Virtual NORTHEAST is set to run starting this Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, and more than 100 vendors have signed up to participate in the virtual format.

One of the most compelling features of the show is expected to be Ford’s free workshop on repairing its vehicles post-collision.

The two hour workshop, presented by Ford and I-CAR’s American branch, is designed specifically for shop management, estimators and auto physical damage appraisers, said the company in an email statement.

The virtual show will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST this Friday, August 21; 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. Saturday, August 22; and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 23. The show is free to everyone, AASP-NJ members and nonmembers.

This weekend, visit the official website of NORTHEAST, www.aaspnjnortheast.com, and log into the virtual event via the link on the home page using the email address you registered with.

If you registered for a badge for the in-person NORTHEAST 2020, your information will carry over. Simply enter using that email address. If you have NOT registered, visit www.aaspnjnortheast.com and click on “Pre-Registration.”

Once logged in, you’ll be able to visit the exhibitors of your choice either by category, or by name. Each participating exhibitor’s virtual booth page will contain contact information as well as product and service information, videos, live presentations and demonstrations and even the ability to chat live or meet up virtually.

On-demand tuition-based Collision P.R.E.P. educational sessions, presented by the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association, will also be available in conjunction with the virtual NORTHEAST 2020. Classes are $50 per session.

The physical show, originally planned to be held in March, was pushed to August earlier this year. However, as time progressed the show was eventually cancelled and replaced with a virtual version.

Although show organizers have admitted the virtual experience could never be a true substitute for a physical show, they do suggest it might be possible to augment future NORTHEASTs with a virtual feature.
