Toronto, Ontario — It’s time for another heartwarming Throwback Thursday segment! Collision Repair magazine has been bringing you industry-leading news for more than 20 years, and we have a photo archive with more than 40,000 images to showcase our time spent serving the industry.
In this Throwback Thursday segment, we toss it back to 2010, when Assured Automotive served as a sponsor to help Habitat for Humanity build a new home for the Solomon family, who came to Canada from Eritrea in 1994. Prior to receiving their new home in 2010, Nardos Solomon and her 15-year-old daughter were living in a one-bedroom apartment in Toronto, which she said did not meet the needs of her family.
In December 2010, representatives from Assured Automotive and Habitat for Humanity were on hand to present the Solomon family with the keys to their new home. Former Toronto Argonaut Michael “Pinball” Clemons was also at the ceremony to help celebrate the occasion.
