3D Thinking: CIECA to discuss impact of 3D-printed parts in collision repair during March 27 webinar

Toronto, Ontario – The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) has announced that its next webinar, “3D Printing in Collision Repair,” is set to take place on Thursday, March 27 starting at 2:00 p.m. EST.

As noted in a recent media release about the event, the one-hour live broadcast will feature Harold Sears, head of the advisory council for Auto Additive as well as Gerry Poirier, consultant with Vector Squared.

During the event, Sears and Poirier will specifically discuss how 3D printing is used in the collision industry and its future impacts. All collision industry stakeholders, including CIECA members and non-members, are invited to attend.

Further topics to be discussed include: 

  • The types of 3D-printed parts being made and materials used
  • 3D-printed parts pricing compared to traditional replacement parts
  • Quality control measures in place and certification
  • Potential impacts on customers
  • Liability issues with 3D-printed parts
