Simplicity Car Care announces three appointments

Toronto, Ontario — March 2, 2018 — Simplicity Car Care recently announced three additions to its quickly growing team.

Ed Corbett joins Simplicity Car Care as Chief Financial Officer, and with him brings over 20 years of executive financial and operational experience in high-tech, software and consumer related companies. Prior to his title at Simplicity, Corbett has held the positions of CFO, COO and General Manager for both public and private companies. “Corbett is highly experienced in strategic planning and raising capital (debt and equity),” says Domenic Ieraci, President of Simplicity Car Care.

Corbett has negotiated more than $500 million of business transactions by way of financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and technology licensing. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University and a CPA accounting designation and is a graduate of the Canadian Securities Course.

Greg Taba has been appointed to the position of Business Development Manager in Ontario.

He brings over 17 years experience in sales, business development and marketing to the company. His experience as director and business development manager includes helping several organizations build through organic growth and new account acquisition, most notably Home Depot, Mitsubishi Electric, AGF as well as high profile professional legal firms within Canada.

Michael Lawther joins Simplicity Car Care as Field Conversion Manager. He has more than 30 years of automotive repair experience, primarily in the glass industry, working with the likes of Standard Auto Glass, Speedy Glass and Trans Canada Glass.

Prior joining the Simplicity Car Care team, Michael was the National Process Manager for Mobile with Belron Canada’s Service and Delivery Team. In his experience he has gathered effective practices, setting processes, standard operating procedures and eventually creating a successful business model for Consumer and Commercial Mobile Dispatch Operations, which the greater Toronto area and other major markets are currently following today.

Michael Lawther has experience working with franchising, technical training organizations, developing KPI Dashboards, customer delight and business development. Michael has also been directly involved in landing several National Fleet Accounts as well as drafting and adopting unprecedented Service Level Agreements that included afterhours and Sunday service.
