Ottawa, Ontario — May 8, 2017 — The next meeting of the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) promises to put the spotlight on scanning, with three presentations on the topic. The meeting is set to take place May 25 at Delta Fredericton in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Brandon Roy of I-CAR Canada and Jean-Luc Sauriol will present different views of the process and the technology. Roy is set to present “I-CAR: New Technology, Scanning and Calibration,” while Sauriol will look at the pre- and post-repair scans and discuss how to analyze them. Wrapping up the scanning trifecta, CCIF Chairman Joe Carvalho of Economical Insurance will present a general overview of diagnostic scanning.

Jim Kenzie, host of Kenzie’s Korner on TSN’s Motoring TV, will serve as the keynote speaker at CCIF Fredericton. Kenzie also writes regularly for numerous automotive outlets, including the Toronto Star’s Wheels section. He has been an active, licensed, professional-grade racing driver since his early-twenties, and is a three-time Targa Newfoundland Rally Open Division driving champion.

Other presenters at CCIF Fredericton include Andrew Shepherd, Executive Director of I-CAR Canada, providing an update on I-CAR; Annabel McCormack presenting on “bumper-to-bumper” recruitment strategies, and Patrice Marcil of Axalta, who will update attendees on the Collision Industry-Education Connection project. The objective of this project is to engage the collision repair industry, through CCIF, in collaborating in the recruitment, development and retention of its workforce for the future.

CCIF Fredericton will also see the premiere of a new feature at the meetings, with the introduction of college tours. The first college tour will be of New Brunswick Community College’s Saint John campus, taking place the evening before CCIF, on Wednesday, May 24.
