Toronto, Ontario — In celebration of National Mining Week, Natural Resources Canada, The Mining Association of Canada and the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada have teamed up to host the 2021 Mineral Outlook Dialogue event, which will feature a heavy focus on Canada’s mission toward widespread electric vehicle adoption and the circular economy of electric vehicles (EVs).
The free event will run from May 10 to 14, 2021 and will be held via Zoom. The session ‘Battery Electric Vehicles Circular Economy, will take place on May 11 at 1 p.m. ET.
The five-day webinar will also explore a new topic each day ranging from mineral commodity markets, environmental initiatives, to federal priorities with the mineral industry.
The daily webinars will take place at 1:00 p.m. EDT— except for Monday, May 10 where the event will begin at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
This events agenda is as follows:
- Mineral Commodity Markets Analysis (supercycles) and Canada-US Relationship (Critical Minerals): May 10 at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
- Battery Electric Vehicles Circular Economy & Vehicles: May 11 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
- Mining and Environmental, Social and Governance: May 12 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
- Federal priorities that support Canada’s minerals and metals sector: May 13 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
- The Canadian Minerals and Metals Plan(Pan-Canadian Geoscience Strategy, Canada Brand for Mining) Budget 2021 and Canada’s Mining Sector: May 14 at 1:00 p.m. EDT:
Over the course of the event participants will get to further explore why Canada’s minerals industry is a sustainable and responsible supplier of the minerals and metals needed to build a clean, inclusive economy that benefits all Canadians.
