Pro Spot to debut new riveting system, aluminum welder at SEMA 2015

The PS-DA5 Drawn Arc Welder is one of two new systems Pro Spot will debut at SEMA 2015.

Carlsbad, California — November 2, 2015 — Pro Spot International has released a sneak peek of some of the company’s new products debuting November 3 at the SEMA Show, taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

First up is the PR-5 Riveting System. A statement from Pro Spot says the company has taken all of your current and future riveting needs and put it all into one unit that’s also easy to use. The Pro Spot Riveter uses pressure and specialized dies to apply and remove a variety of rivets without heat. For heat sensitive materials, like aluminum, this cold joining process is necessary for rivet application.

Pro Spot says there are many new and enhanced features to be found in the PR-5. First are new and enhanced dies. The system uses a variety of magnetic dies for applying self-piercing rivets, solid rivets, flow form rivets, and hollow rivets. It also has dies for removing rivets, flattening and calibrating. A Quick Connect Adapter makes switching arms faster and easier, and the battery system ensures structural riveting cycle regardless of battery power level.

Pro Spot says the PS-DA5 Drawn Arc Welder is the latest technology in precise aluminum repair. The PS-DA5 applies pulling keys and threaded studs using drawn arc technology. Aluminum stud welding is becoming more common in the collision repair environment, and Pro Spot says the PS-DA5 is the latest technology in precise dent pulling and stud welding.
