Toronto, Ontario — On Feb. 4, Boucherville, Que.-based Uni-Select announced that it had acquired the assets of Bay Auto and Truck Parts, effective Feb. 1.
“Bay Auto has been a member of the Uni-Select network for more than 20 years,” reads a Uni-Select press release. “We are proud to welcome their 66 employees to our team.”
Bay Auto has several Ontario locations, with stores in Barrie, Innisfil and Orillia. According to Uni-Select, these locations will become Bumper to Bumper corporate stores in the next 24 months.
“The combined expertise in automotive products and services will strengthen our service offering in the region,” said Uni-Select.
The Uni-Select network supplies more than 16,000 collision repair shops through more than 1,100 independent customers and more than 70 company-owned stores, many of which operate under the Bumper to Bumper, Auto Parts Plus and FinishMaster store banner programs. The company also supports more than 3,900 shops through its automotive repair banners, as well as through its automotive refinish banners.
