Online Auto Show: Ontario Car Show to be held virtually amid COVID-19

Gravenhurst, Ontario — For 26 years the annual Gravenhurst Car Show has taken place at Gull Lake Park, however, COVID-19 has steered the event into a new direction—a virtual one.

The 2020 Gravenhurst Car Show, sponsored by Canadian Tire will be entirely online.

The event will still allow car owners to showcase their vintage vehicles and compete for the Top 10 People’s Choice Awards for a wide range of prizes. Additionally, the first 100 car owners to register will get a chance to win $500 worth of tires from longtime car show sponsor Wayne’s Tire in Gravenhurst.

Those who are interested in registering their vehicle can do so at  https://gravenhurstchamber.com/gravenhurst-car-show/car-registration/ between May 19 and June 14. Participants need to take a photo of their vehicle and provide a bit of background information.

All registered vehicles will be posted online at www.gravenhurstcarshow.com between June 17- 24 and voters can go online and vote for their favourites, which will be categorized by era.

“Expect the Gravenhurst Car Show to be back at beautiful Gull Lake Park in 2021 on Saturday, June 19,” says Gravenhurst Car Show marketing and sponsor lead, Chris Hammar in an online announcement.
