Toronto, Ontario -- July 8, 2019 - The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) is premiering a webinar series for autobody shop owners interested in providing affordable and simple retirement plans to their employees.
The SCRS webinar is an expansion of an initiative launched earlier this year that allowed multiplesmall businesses to partner up and divide the cost of a 401(k) among each other, predicting that shops could save up to $15,000 annually.
Premiering on July 18, the webinar will feature SCRS partners Virginia Asset Management and the Payroll Company to discuss plans for small auto body shops that want to benefit their employees big time.
“Small business owners are often under the assumption that offering a retirement plan will be too expensive or too complicated,” stated SCRS earlier this week.
“But the reality is that many of their employees are unlikely to have any retirement savings without one. This presentation will touch on some of the challenges and objections small business owners and employees are faced with when it comes to retirement savings; and what SCRS and our partners have done to break through these barriers."
SCRS believes this webinar is crucial for small autobody businesses.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 45 percent of businesses with less than 50 employees offered retirement plans in 2018, leaving smaller shops at a competitive disadvantage to those who do offer a 401(k) plan, but SCRS says that their current plan has been helping this.
“Existing SCRS member businesses who have already enrolled have saved on average 37 percent from their existing plans,” the association stated.
The webinar promises an educational program for members plus additional training and tips.
“Our members’ businesses will benefit from our collective size to help keep costs low and will receive service and support that is second-to-none."
