AutoTech Symposium talks future industry trends

Toronto, Ontario — October 4, 2018 — The AutoTech Symposium, a major forum on the future of the automotive industry featuring many representatives from major Ontario’s leading automotive tech companies will take place in Waterloo next Wednesday. 

The Waterloo Centre for Automotive Research and the Waterloo EDC are hosting the event to discuss innovation ideas, including security software and artificial intelligence in automation. The moderator of the event will be Petrina Gentile, automotive journalist for The Globe and Mail.

To be held on the University of Waterloo campus, the day will see numerous presentations and panel discussions conducted by a number of industry experts. 

To kick-start the event, AutoTech’s opening discussion is headed by Nikolas Badminton, a world renowned futurist, who will be presenting his ideas about the technological phenomenon’s that are disrupting the automotive industry.  Arianne Walker, head of Alexa Auto Amazon, will close the event with a look at voice recognition software and its use in the vehicles of tomorrow.

Not only are there educational discussions throughout the day, but, after 3:30 p.m., lab tours will take delegates into the campus’s innovative research facilities.
