Woodbridge, Ontario — Family, friends and industry members alike gathered from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Paramount Event Centre in Roundtree, Woodbridge to celebrate the retirement of former president and CEO of Consolidated Dealers Co-op, Tom Langton’s retirement.
During the event, attendees gathered to celebrate Langton’s 40 year career at the company, enjoying refreshments, reflective conversations and heartfelt words from Consolidated members, as well as Langton himself.
“Beyond the company’s accomplishments, it really is all about the people,” Langton said.
“The biggest joy I got from this job is the people. There have been so many wonderful people along the way, and many of them are now truly my friends that I talk to on a regular basis. I’m very proud of that.”
Langton continued by thanking each chairman for their hard work over the years and told the audience that his biggest accomplishment has been seeing Consolidated Dealers Co-op grow into the company it is today.
“My proudest accomplishment as a team is definitely that today, we’re recognized as a force in the automotive industry,” Langton noted.
He concluded by highlighting that in looking toward the future, he is excited to travel—with upcoming plans to visit destinations such as Quebec City, Ireland and Aruba.
Tom Langton officially retired from Consolidated Dealers Co-op on December 31, 2024, transitioning to an advisory role to provide guidance and support to the company. Mike Bier, previously the general manager of the company’s collision branch, has since assumed the role.
Collision Repair magazine would like to extend congratulations to Tom Langton on his retirement and Mike Bier on this next step in his collision repair journey.
