The new Humber River Hospital in Toronto.

Toronto, Ontario -- November 16, 2015 -- A brand-new hospital has just opened in Toronto, and local multi-store operator Prochilo Brothers Auto Collision helped to bring it about, and are also stepping up to make sure it continues to receive much needed funding.

Humber River Hospital at 1235 Wilson Ave. officially opened its doors in October. Prochilo Brothers Auto Collision was one of the sponsors of a recent event to benefit the hospital, YOU+ The Women’s Event. Specifically designed to help shine a light on women’s health-related issues, the event took place on November 12 was attended by over 650 women committed to improving the wellbeing of all women while raising funds for the new Humber River Hospital. YOU+ The Women’s Event took place at Paramount Conference and Event Venue.

In addition to cocktails and dinner, the event featured entertainment by Debra DiGiovanni, Gemini Award & Canadian Comedy Award-winning comedian, star of Match Game and MuchMusic’s Video On Trial. The event was emceed by Michael Wekerle, rock star financier, philanthropist and star of CBC’s Dragon’s Den.

“We’re long-time supporters of Humber River Hospital,” says Adam Prochilo of Prochilo Brothers Auto Collision. “There’s a strong connection between good hospitals and the overall health of the community surrounding it.”

There’s something to be said for efforts to improve your local community, and the new Humber River Hospital is about as local as it gets for Prochilo Brothers Auto Collision.

“Our main store in Toronto is at 141 Toryork Dr., so this hospital really is part of our community,” says Prochilo. “We’re always looking at ways we can get involved locally. It isn’t just about getting our name into the community, although that’s a nice bonus. It’s about having a positive impact on the communities where we work and live.”
