NACE 2015 organizers launch smartphone app

Detroit, Michigan -- July 13, 2015 -- NACE | CARS organizers for the 2015 convention have released the event's official smartphone app.

The app—released June 25—will allow attendees to stay plugged into all of the news and events taking place both inside the convention and across Detroit when NACE rolls into the motor city's Cobo Center on July 21 for the five-day expo.

Organizers say convention-goers will be able to view a full list of exhibitors who have set up at the convention, locate specific vendors on an interactive map of the floor plan, and add personal notes as you move through the convention.

Users in attendance will also be able to keep track of information and training sessions using the built-in scheduling system that lets you search, view and rate sessions you have taken part in. In addition, the app allows users to make personal notes.

The organization says the app lets attendees plan their itinerary using the included Personalized Planner, allowing users to tag their favourite exhibitors and sessions, and add personal notes for each entry.

NACE | CARS organizers say the app can be used to follow other users on Twitter, and read or comment on tweets from both guests and exhibitors at the event. The management team will also be using the app to send exclusive updates, notifications and blog postings.

Finally, the company has incorporated a collection of quick tabs and links into the app that highlight local attractions, hotel information and transportation options for convention-goers while in Detroit.

The app is currently available in both Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store. To download it for your iOS or Android-powered device, search for NACE | CARS.
