Mississauga, Ontario -- April 22, 2015 -- PPG Canada has announced the appointment of Barbara Sawchuk as the company’s new business solutions manager for western Canada.
“Barbara will be a great asset to PPG and to our customers,” says PPG Canada collision business manager, Norm Angrove, who made the announcement. “She brings practical experience and extensive knowledge of the automotive and refinish industries. Her positive attitude, effective communication skills and team player approach will enhance her value in her new role of business solutions manager for our team.”
In her new position, Sawchuk will take on the task of working with PPG multi-shop consolidators, banner network customers and large-volume strategic customers to deliver value-added solutions and processes that will ensure continuous improvement in all areas of their business. She will cover PPG Canada’s western region of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and report directly to Angrove.

Shawchuk began her career in management at Flag Chevrolet in Vancouver, British Columbia. Before joining PPG, she most recently acted at manager of estimating services for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), with responsibility for regional claim centres and out-of-province claims.
Past roles include Collision Plus Network Operational Manager and Kirmac Collision Regional Operational Manager. Sawchuk is also an active participant in the Collision Repair Division of the Automotive Retailers Association (ARA), where she has been on the board of directors and has served as vice chairperson.
