Strongsville, Ohio -- December 27, 2013 -- PPG Industries' automotive refinish business has launched a new website.

The completely redesigned site went live Dec. 5, 2013 and contains new content, organizational and product information enhancements to help paint and collision centre professionals find the products, tools and ideas that are vital to their success. 

“Our new website provides a richer and more satisfying user experience,” says Greg DeCamp, PPG general manager of sales and marketing, refinish, United States and Canada (USCA). “We based our redesign on input from our customers as well as our brand managers, trainers, IT people and other key sources. We wanted to make sure we provided the information customers required in an easy and comprehensive manner. I believe our customers will find exactly that."

Incorporating access to PPG’s automotive refinish and commercial coatings groups, the new site features simpler and faster navigation, redesigned product catalogues and easier access to PPG's online features. The U.S. and Canadian sites in particular run on the same framework, but the company's new websites are capable of delivering content specific to the countries.

The company says the site now boasts greater mobile technology connectivity and can now be accessed more easily through mobile devices with PPG’s dynamic platform architecture, which provides better online access for web-enabled tablets and smartphones. PPG further notes the website now offers more intuitive navigation; while longtime site users will find the main menu bar familiar, the entire navigation process has been streamlined to reach site destinations faster.

PPG says finding essential product information for a PPG automotive refinish or commercial coatings brand has never been easier. They say their product catalogues have been reorganized and require fewer clicks to retrieve technical information and MSDS documents, associated colour tools and volatile organic compound (VOC) content. The FAQs section, also on the main menu, serves as a one-stop resource for answers about PPG products and programs.

The website also provides live links to the company's Twitter, Facebook and YouTube social media sites.
