Chicago, Illinois — June 5, 2017 — There are more tools available for shops to help manage their social media and web presence than ever before. Marcus Markell, Market Manager for Mitchell 1, will present at NACE Automechanika 2017, specifically on how to get the most ouf the company’s new SocialCRM tool.

NACE Automechanika 2017 takes place July 26 to 29 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. Collision Repair magazine is the exclusive Canadian media partner for NACE Automechanika 2017.

Social media presence is more than just helpful, it’s necessary to keep business coming in the door. “Social media has taken on a major role as a tool for word-of-mouth marketing, and is gaining popularity within the automotive repair industry,” says Mackell. “Going hand-in-hand with social media to spread word-of-mouth about a business are consumer reviews.”

Mackell will also discuss how shops can improve client communications through social media. “Being active on social media, responding to consumer reviews (both negative and positive), and offering consumers a personalized vehicle history website also keep consumers connected to the shop,” says Mackell. “It’s no secret many automotive repair shops are out of their element when it comes to digital marketing. Plus, executing a successful digital marketing strategy can take a lot of time and effort.” The NACE course will go in-depth, presenting how Mitchell 1’s SocialCRM can provide a solution to these demands.

According to Mackell, SocialCRM will provide shops with the ability to fully create and maintain an online presence. This presence allows customers to find the shop, set up appointments online and share their experience with their friends. This helps to establish relationships with customers.

“Relationship building is a critical component of running a successful auto repair business. The focus (of the NACE course) is on building relationships through the entire consumer cycle,” says Mackell.
