Chicago, Illinois — May 27, 2017– I-CAR representatives will discuss 2017’s latest industry trends at NACE Automechanika 2017. The goal is to offer insight for shops looking to stay on top of industry development. The coverage will include a combination of two previously offered courses. First is the repair procedures for several 2017 domestic and foreign models, followed by new tools for diagnostics and scanning.

NACE Automechanika 2017 takes place July 26 to 29 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. Collision Repair magazine is the exclusive Canadian media partner for NACE Automechanika 2017.

I-CAR representative Josh MacFarlin discussed the upcoming presentation in a recent interview with Collision Repair magazine. “The biggest trend for 2017 is the introduction of diagnostics and scan tools to the collision industry,” he says. With this in mind, I-CAR will bring them together to offer the most out of its NACE course.

Looking to compare tools? This will also be covered with the course; discussing the differences between various troubleshooting tools so you can find those that best fit the needs of your shop. Whether it is for tools, procedures, or models, with all the options currently available it can be difficult to know what is best. The 2017 overview looks to make these decisions easier by showing how each would suit your specific needs.

“Students will walk away from this course with not only an overview of the 2017 model year, but also a list of options to help them plan for properly incorporating diagnostics into a repair,” says McFarlin. “It is a perfect combination of what they want to hear about and what they need to hear about to prepare for the vehicles coming into their shops today.”

If you wish to complete this course, but are unable to attend NACE Automechanika, the combined courses are offered separately online. The courses can also be applied toward achieving I-CAR Gold Class.
