Paradise Island, Bahamas — January 9, 2018 — Last October, Maaco franchise owners from across North America traded in their ties for flip-flops and traveled to the Atlantis resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas for the franchise’s annual convention.

As he boarded his plane, Maaco Newmarket owner Steve Celli had much to celebrate. He had just received word that his franchise had earned its fifth OEM certification for the year.

“I know it is described as a cup,” says Celli, “but it is really a plaque.”

Maaco also honoured a number of other Canadians at the ceremonies. The award for rookie of the year went to Peter Flannigan of Maaco Airdrie in Alberta.

Maaco also offered milestone awards to Wade MacKay of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; Allan Mann of Regina, Saskatchewan; Scott Dance of Nepean, Ontario and the Mirante family of Edmonton, Alberta.
