Toronto, Ontario — June 28, 2019 – LKQ’s Brampton and Whitby locations hosted huge car shows and barbeques last week to show off their impressive facilities and connect with the community.
LKQ Corporation is a provider of recycled automotive parts with multiple locations across Canada. The open houses ran from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. and attracted car-lovers galore.
“It was the perfect summer evening for an LKQ Open House & Car Show,” reported Orest Tkaczuk, an attendee of the event. “Their parking lot was packed with classic cars, muscle cars, chrome bumpers and souped-up motors.”
From old Chevys to T-Birds and Camaros, both locations parking lots featured more than 40 classic vehicles. On top of showing off cars, both shops also showed off their charitable side.
“LKQ collected food donations and raised funds for the local food bank,” said reported Tkaczuk.
The car shows were also an opportunity for LKQ to show off their facilities. General Manager Vik Nevrela and Warehouse Manager Phil Blais of the Brampton location took attendees on a tour of their facility, revealing their most up-to-date and fully automated technology.
At the Whitby location, Wendy Butch, attracted a large crowd around her 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. The event was organized by General Manager, Amin Youssef.
“It was a huge community event, and it was wonderful to see everyone come out. There were people who were very young, to people old enough to own their own cars.” said Gloria Mann, an attendant at the Whitby event. “There was music, food, and excitement.”
Both locations handed out prizes and awards to attendees and received positive feedback from all who attended.
