Huntsville, Ontario — Last week, CSN Collision Centres hosted its licensees, vendor partners and other industry friends at the Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario, for their annual conference.
All attendees had a chance to soak up the gorgeous sights and pristine weather before workshops started on Thursday afternoon. Workshops included an ESG session with Dekra, a corporate update on internal recruitment programs and an OEM panel with Leanne Jefferies of Certified Collision Care; Paul Stella of Toyota; Brian Chiu of Nissan and Scott Wideman of Volkswagen.
A vendor showcase closed out day one of the event—but more speaker presentations started on Friday morning. Keynote speaker, Risha Grant, gave an insightful and thought-provoking talk on diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, which included plenty of interactive opportunities and was received well by the crowd.
Restaurant entrepreneur Michel Falcon continued the presentations before lunch; Peter Kalantzis and Tara Willoughby of Aviva Insurance kicked off the afternoon to discuss carbon emissions and the collision claims process.
Patrick Anderson, a multi-medal Paralympic wheelchair basketball legend from Team Canada, was next to the stage, and he received whooping applause from the crowd for his inspiring story and pretty impressive tricks in his basketball chair.
Juno-nominated musician Peter Katz closed out Friday with a private concert and some stories of his life as a professional singer-songwriter.

Saturday provided some internal updates for CSN licensees before conference go-ers split up for an afternoon of optional activities. Some went treetop trekking; others hit up the boat tour or the outdoor pool, and plenty of partners hit the greens for a round of golf.
CSN then treated us to a lakeside dinner, with gorgeous views and delicious food. Shout out to the mushroom ravioli, a crowd favourite. The 80s and 90s cover band Wild Shot Honey concluded the conference with a concert that saw everyone hit the dance floor.
