A Lexus bandit is on the loose in Ottawa. A woman had reported to police that both of her vehicles that were sitting in the driveway were no longer there. Both vehicles were high-end, a 2016 Lexus and a brand new 2018 Lexus. This wasn’t the first vehicle that was stolen from their driveway this year either. A neighbor within that area also had her Lexus stolen from her driveway as well. The thieves are reported to be using a device called a relay box. It searches for, finds and then relays a signal from a wireless key fob inside the victim’s home. The signal then eventually tricks the car into thinking the fob is there, which unlocks the vehicles.
