Forum Foiled: CCIF cancels Montreal conference

Montreal, Quebec — The Canadian Collision Industry Forum has cancelled its Montreal conference, which was scheduled to be held May 28 through 29.

“In response to the growing concerns over the COVID-19 outbreak, the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) has made the decision to cancel the Montreal meeting, originally to be held on May 28-29, 2020, at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel in Montreal, Quebec,” said the organization.

Those that booked a hotel room via CCIF’s link will receive automatic cancellation. If you booked with another website, you will need to cancel yourself.

“We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event, but we know it’s the right decision to keep everybody safe,” CCIF director Caroline LaCasse wrote in a message to CCIF’s media collaborators.

LaCasse also encouraged the industry to stay tuned to CCIF’s website for auto aftermarket updates amid the pandemic.

CCIF’s next industry event will be CCIF Vancouver, which is scheduled  for Sept. 24 and 25 at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel.
