Blainville, Quebec — May 18, 2018 — At its recent annual conference in Niagara, May 3-5, Fix Automotive challenged its attendees to a team building exercise – with a charitable twist.

Keeping the automotive industry in mind, the two teams were challenged with creating a giant race course out of provided materials which included an array of healthy non-perishable food items. The teams would then compete by expertly navigating remote controlled trucks around their courses.

“It’s incredible that in just over an hour of working together, the teams created amazing race tracks with jumps, tunnels, banked corners and just about anything else you could want on a track,” said Steve Leal, president and CEO of Fix Auto World.

Once the tracks were built and the races were over, the food and toys were donated to two local charities. Project SHARE, which serves individuals living in poverty in the Niagara Falls community by addressing the short-term need for food and creating long-term solutions for food security, received the over 2,600 pounds of food. Ten remote controlled monster trucks with a total value of approximately $2,000 were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Niagara, which provides a safe and supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

“We are so pleased to be able to make these donations to two fantastic charities that are truly making a difference in the local Niagara Falls area,” commented Leal. “We believe in giving back to communities in which we operate and our conference is no different. Our FAN family has come together today, as does our entire network of franchise strategic partners regularly, to give back locally.”
