KIA has announced pricing for the recently unveiled 2022 Sorento Turbo PHEV, KIA’s final entry to the Sorento lineup.

According to KIA, the 2022 Sorento Turbo plug-in hybrid electric vehicle will be listed with a starting MSRP of $44,990 for the SX and an MSRP of $47,8901 for the fully loaded SX-Prestige (SX-P).

Blast radius

In the latest chapter of the Chevrolet Bolt recall saga, GM is advising that drivers of the vehicle keep a safe distance from other vehicles in parking.

With battery fires on the Bolt a very real concern, the OEM is asking customers to help prevent collateral damage by keeping their Bolts at least 50 feet from anyone else whenever possible.

This update follows shortly after another announcement from GM where the company advised Bolt drivers to keep the car parked outdoors to prevent garage fires.

Catch the WAVE

Whitby, Ont. is officially home to North America’s longest AV shuttle route, as the Whitby Autonomous Vehicle Electric (WAVE) gears up for its maiden voyage through the Toronto suburb’s waterfront.

The shuttle will travel a 6 km route along Whitby’s waterfront and will operate within the Durham Regional Transit (DRT) system.

“Durham Region Transit is committed to assessing new mobility models and clean technologies that contribute to a safe, reliable and sustainable network of transit services,” said Jamie Austin, deputy general manager for business services at DRT.

“The WAVE shuttle and smart infrastructure pilot builds on these advancements, providing the opportunity to assess the operational, environmental and customer service benefits of autonomous electric shuttles in public transit.”
