Craftsman Collision aims to fill courtesy cars at annual food drive

Volunteers from Craftsman Collision, Save-On-Foods and the Salvation Army during the 'Make a Dent' food drive in 2016. Since 2009, Craftsman Collision has helped raise nearly $250,000 for the Salvation Army.

North Vancouver, British Columbia — September 24, 2017 — Craftsman Collision is once again teaming up with Save-On-Foods and the Salvation Army to host a day long food drive. This year’s event takes place on Saturday September 30, 2017. Craftsman Collision has pledged to match every item donated. For every can donated by a participating customer, two cans will make it onto a shelf at a local Salvation Army Family Services units which serve individuals and families in need of assistance.

In 2016 alone, Craftsman Collision’s “Make a Dent” food drive campaign raised over $30,000. Since 2009, Craftsman Collision has raised nearly $250,000 in food and cash for The Salvation Army.

Upon entering participating Save-On-Foods locations, customers will receive a shopping list of ideal non-perishable food items to shop for and donate. The hope is that when the drive is complete, each location will have donated enough food to fill a Craftsman Collision courtesy car.

All food donations are needed, but some items are in particuarly short supply this year, including canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, mac and cheese, peanut butter, rice, Hamburger Helper, cereal, diapers, pasta, toilet paper, instant noodels, canned baked beans, pasta and tomato sauce and beans.

Donations can be made at all participating Save-on-Foods locations on Saturday September 30.
